Always fun listening to Bob Sharp's stories. My wife chatted him up on his Willys and got an ear full!  "That license
frame / third brake light combo (works in conjunction with the tail lights, ya know) set me back over f'n $300!!" :o

Thanks guys... those twin superchargers actually drove in!  Beppie, that five window is beautiful; everything done nice.
Trying to angle my way into a ride in Jack's RPU; not pretty but I'd be willing to bet, scary fast.  The purple car still gets
my vote for the baddest Willys on the lot...

Time for a drive up to the FairPlex to see what's new...  :o IT COSTS MONEY TO GET IN NOW!!! :'(
The tab is $5 (not quite half of an $11 beer).  The good news is that you can get your five bucks refunded
if you sign up for an annual Museum Pass at $45... then you get into the rest of this years Twilight shows
AND the museum for FREE!! ::)  Any who, yesterday's show was only half-a-show; lots of empty spots but
I still had a good time and there were some interesting cars in the lot.  This gasser had it goin' on!

I parked my car next to a nice '58 Ford F100 and introduced myself to the two guys sitting in the shade behind it.  Turned
out to be the Davis brothers... guys I'd never met but who knew a lot of folks I'd been around in the past; small world!  Rick
owns the '58F100 and Wayne had his recently completed '53 Stude pick-up there as well.  Good times!

Gene "Narod" Skiles owned the Willys Jeepster until he passed away recently.  He was the founder of Chino's Corn Feed Run
car shows and a familiar sight around town.

Hadn't been inside the museum in a while so I made a point to ask about admission when I drove
in.  Three bucks after 3:00pm... easy peasy, right??  That'll be SEVEN dollars please... and don't tell
anyone I let you in for $3 the lady whispered when she took my cash :-X  The bottom line here is little
has changed in the museum but a few pics are in order....

FWIW, the Strip Tripper Willys PU was originally from the Greater Vancouver area, raced at Mission in the late sixties/early seventies.
