The coupe with the retro black and white interior, black with flames,  is Andy Volpini from Mass.   he has been driving the wheels off of it this year............

thanks for the great 40's always love them!

I just bought a 40 about a month ago, I wanted a good driver, nothing fancy.
it's strictly a street rod, air, heat, tunes etc. My wife loves it, she's finally comfortable in a hot rod.
Just a 327, 700r trans, goes down the road great.

Nice one !  It's amazingly clean.   Do you have plans to modify it to your tastes, or are you simply going to keep it as-is ?

It was built by a friend and is done very well. He loses interest when they'rs done so it got driven very little. It is not the way I would have built the car but after driving it I'm kinda questioning if I've been doin' it wrong all this time, or maybe I'm just getting old!

I'm planning on leaving it mostly as is, especially the engine.  I was planning on some whitewalls but the blackwalls are kinda growing on me.

Thanks for the likes.

Mick

WOW! what a beauty!   I am hoping to do the same thing in the not too distant future.  Looks like a REAL WINNER to me. Maybe I'll be luck too. BUT first I must sell my '34 slant chopped Henry 3W.
