I saw this pic on the www.  Haven't seen this version of a ragtop before; was this an option from the factory, dealer option, or aftermarket ?  It's really cool.

This is the ragtop version I'm familiar with.  I like these also, but don't care for the metal sunroofs like in my '66.   Yes they probably leak like a sieve, but who cares.

Did some looking on the internet and came up with a Swiss company named Tuscher that did
those conversions for VW.  Here's a couple more pics...

I like the look with the top rolled back but not so much closed, personally.  You should add a trip to the Hessisch Oldendorf
