Bonneville Bucket List

Darrell Vittone checked another entry off his "bucket List" last weekend at Bonneville with a 115.34 mph pass in the 36hp Challenge.  The engine
size is 1798cc's and uses a stroked (81.1mm) Porsche 912 crank with 85mm CP pistons.  The cylinders are Nikasil plated.  Rods are Carrillo.  Cylinder
heads are dual-ports from Denzel and use manifolds and adapters to mount dual 48IDA carbs.  The cam is from Web-Cam and uses Porsche lifters.
The engine case is a well-seasoned 1949 model!  8)

That is quite a feat.  Very impressive, especially with an essentially stock type 1 body.  Congratulations !

Taking things a "few" steps forward, Darrell plugged his drive train into a more aerodynamic Ghia for
a pass at the Mojave Mile held April 11th this year... it ran 141 mph!
