I made the AMT model of the later version of the last one (light blue, lots of chrome) pictured.  Was it later sponsored by MALCO ?  It's a classic.
I built two on those, one as a kid around 1969, and one as an adult, about 20 years later.

Cool Willys!  With the hemi - is that a radiator or ???  Looks more like a water tank like the version with the BBC but with a mesh screen.  Was that to meet a rule ?  Also there's a huge difference in height of the engines; mostly due to the injectors.  Again, great pics.

NHRA mandated gassers have a "radiator" in gassers, but they also mandated headlights, up till '69 IIRC, the car is running at Dragway 42 in the photos, so AHRA. Maybe the photos are '69 later, seems likely, that would explain the lack of headlights.
