AFEW I TOOK AT THE RODDERS JOURNAL PHOTO  SHOOT.

I saw it when it was on the way to CA for the restoration.  Wayne-O was deliverying a deuce frame & bits to me from back east, and on the same trailer was the Fiat.  It was a bare shell & chassis with VERY worn paint.  Unfortunately I didn't think to take a pic.  They did a great job on the restoration.

Drastic Plastic Anglia AA/FA. Here's some construction shots, body in black gel coat was from some guy in Tennessee.  We sliced and diced it and made molds to extend the front, removed the front fenders and paneled that in and made larger rear fenders for the 17" X 36" slicks. White areas show mods we made and the rear fender mold started as a front fender from an early Peterbuilt truck. Chassis was from one of Chuck Etchols funny cars, we had to fab and add the wing struts and we also mounted and tinned the body. That was the winter of '03-'04, a lot of work from five guys and a lot of good times too.
I know the basement floor is down there because it's holding everything up. I just can't see it anymore.

Man is that cool.Do those front wings help alot ?Does Coil ever help out ? One of my favorite tuners of all time.Working on the team will kept you young.

First time out in 2004 we went to Norwalk, OH  and Wayne said he had no steering at the top end; for sure the new, bigger rear wing was helping plant the slicks but he couldn't steer. The front canards from the old car were on, but not with the swoopy part at the rear that you see in the photos. Back at the shop Tom added the upswept, rear pieces and that kept the front from getting light. Coil might offer a suggestion or answer a question from Tom but no, there was no hands on help. Working with Motry was a trip- the guy is on the phone non-stop, talking parts, tune-ups, or just catching up with another racer. I've seen him working at the lathe and talking for hours, but at the track he's all business. Last time I saw him he said the crew wants to pull a mold from the body and lay up a new, lighter one. Right now the car is a tank, it crosses the scales at 2690 lbs, making the 5.28 ET with no computer or management (other than some timing adjustment down track) all the more impressive.
Tom trusted me with a lot, all based on my hot rodding/machining background, and I'll always be thankful for the chance he gave me. It was the experience of a lifetime.
