Yeah... that's the way the Glamis dunes have always been.  There's ALWAYS someone there with something that will scare you to death!
Here's a few more scans from trips we enjoyed years ago.  Mercifully, my scanner quit working the other day so there's only a few....

Glad we bought that car second-hand... drilling and countersinking all those holes would have been rough!  As a side note, the car on the left in my last pic
(the one with the big dent in the gas tank) was a Corvair powered rig that ran on alcohol and mechanical fuel injection; a real sleeper.  It used three hole
Weber carbs with most of the guts removed for the throttle plates.
