The earliest Bonneville pic I've found so far, dating back to the 20's I'm guessing.

Thanks.  I had been a member of the Lounge before but forgot my username  :-[, so I registered again.  Cannot wait to be approved for registration; I recently found some pics of Jerry Kugel's coupe and it has quickly become one of my favorites !  And I did not know about his brother at all.  It's another good day - I learned something !

;D 8)  Love that pic with the train on the salt!

Here's a link to the Cal Look Lounge and some more Jerry Kugel pics from the salt taken in the '60's.  John Lazenby wrote the post and supplied the photos.  Unfortunately, you'll have to sign up to see John's pictures but it's worth it as it's a cool site.

Re-registering onto Cal-Look Lounge was worth it, just to read this story and view the pics !

My buddy RED just informed me of this site.  Very cool to say the least.  If you go to the link on the Lounge I've just posed a reply to something that was posted there just today.

here are my two favorite pics at Bonneville...................of course it is because it is my wife's car   ;D  That was our stop on the way home from LARS, last year. Just hope we can get there once with the races going on too. It is on the bucket list.. meanwhile, thanks to all who keep digging up these cool old photos to let us know what it was like ,

This '36 was in C altered in '63 when we first ran Howard Eater II. Dad grabbed the C altered record. The aero on the '36 couldn't match a '53 Stude.

Jerry Kugel's second race car. This roadster was actually a 5 window coupe with the top cut off.
