The World lost a true Renaissance Man today, Dan Gurney could design, build and drive them too. Godspeed Dan.
I know the basement floor is down there because it's holding everything up. I just can't see it anymore.

Not only did he win the race , he built his own car . The shop behind mine used to paint their racecars when they were racing . Nice man , very humble .

He was a real hero to me when I was a kid, the whole American Eagle program was INCREDIBLY ambitious, the idea of an American driver in an American built car in F1 was really ballsy in the late sixties. Phil Remington had a LOT to do with that success as well.

Very true , Phil Remington was the backbone of the shop . Another hotrodder that we lost a couple of years ago , Jerry Magnuson ( Magna charger superchargers) worked there and was on Dan's Indy car pit crew in the early years .

Once again we get some facts you won’t find anywhere else but HRC. 👍 Thanks Phil.
