No Tom,----He sold the roadster to a guy in Hollywood, who in turn sold it to a guy in another state.
He used the money to build a pool in the backyard.
His latest project is electric powered party type boats.

The '28-'29 A roadster is the best-looking Ford roadster IMHO.  Second is the '32.  Yes you heard me right  ;)

This full-fendered roadster has a great stance.  I'd like to see it finished.

Well as anyone would know they are two completely different body styles.

I have an original sales paper from 1927 which pictures a Roadster, and it's called a Roadster (rumble seat optional). I also have a rather large 16" x 12" original dealers sales book which gives pictures and specifications of the various models. This is dated 1929. It calls the Roadster "The Roadster", and what we call the Roadster Pickup is called "Open Cab and Model A Pickup Body".  The same thing without the pickup tray is called "Model A Chassis With Open Cab". The 'Model A Pickup Body' relates to the bed. Interestingly, the publication still refers to the "New Ford", and not "Model A".

Also, Floyd Clymer's Model A Album from 1960 calls the Roadster with rumble seat a "Standard Roadster (Sport)" and without rumble seat a "Standard Roadster (Business)". He describes the Pickup as "Open Cab" with Roadster Pickup in brackets.

As well, The Model A Ford Club of America uses the same names Roadster and Open Cab. You can look at these on line at:-  mafca.com/data_bodycodes_a.html

I rest my case.

I guess some of the names of the cars have been derived over many years like Tub and Tourer which are substitutes for Phaeton. Here in Australia any Pickup with a bed or tray is called a Ute which is not to my liking.

I always wondered what rodzy would look like with a track nose so many years ago I made this little rendering by xeroxing the photo, blowing it up and drawing in the nose then xeroxing it again.  I've had it on the wall in my garage for 15 years or so.

I took these pictures of Mark Morton's Rodzy at an Early Times car show in Hemet, CA in 96 or 97 (?) and the red roadster at the LARS some years later (I think).

Taken at the Pasadena Roadster Club Reliability Run 2010.  They trucked it out here from TX but it didn't run well enough to go on the reliability run.

just a few I have, This was a car I started then gave to my Father but he couldnt finish it for different reasons so he gave it back to me and I decided to take it in a different direction than he had planned. I am doing the chassis different than most , I want to sit lower in the car so I have put the floors in the chassis. 4" from top of frame down. I like them low but not dragging the ground.

;D This must have been taken at the same time as the previous photo, even better shot of the dirt rooster tail. That young guy needs to get some more aggressive tires or a lighter foot! That RoyBoy sure takes great pictures. That photographer on the right of this shot is probably the other photo. Here's his coverage of this great event  http://royboyproductions.com/2016/06/15/2016-hot-rod-dirt-drags-pt-3-sponsored-speedway-motors/

If you are a guy like me that was a kid into the hot rod scene in the late sixties, you will remember this one! 1970 Car Craft street freak issue, there was some REALLY cool stuff in there. It was the Daniel Boone Corvette on the adjacent page that REALLY blew my tiny little mind, I will post that on the Corvette thread.

This car is like a artist's sketch...Details aren't always worked out perfect but the concept is there and looks cool!  Roadster version of the Bantam!  Take it for what it is and when it was built.
