« on: June 30, 2017, 07:08:05 PM »
my deuce roadster with a mild built small block chev. and 4spd trans over heats at an idle in warm weather. I have lived with this problem for years and have a no name brand elec fan that doesnt move much air, and need to know what cfm i need. The car has a full hood with 4 rows of louvers on the side panals only. When i built this car 35 years ago there wasnt much to choose from in electric fans.THANKS for any help.

I use the biggest Spal fan that will fit on the radiator, always works.

A shroud may be more important than the fan....,   you can make a nice one from a pizza pan from the surplus restaurant supply house

shroud makes sure all the suction covers the whole radiator....  SPAL has a 2400 cfm fan and a 2,000 CFM   either should cool your car
