Burkhart, Bramer & Burns. When I snapped this picture at Pomona in '59, they were running Frank Cannon's Blown fuel 392, and direct drive. Just prior to this shot, this '29 became the first high gear only altered, and the first altered to run in the 9's. This car started the whole fuel altered phenomonon.

Yes I like that one also, especially the crew working on the engine !  I bet they burned their fingers & busted their knuckles many times  :)

Yes, if they would have made the cowl removable, working on the engine would have been much easier.

Long time friend, the late Nick Cirino, built this '30 roadster with sponsor ship from Jim Steele's Durfee Auto Parts. Seen here at the 1960 March Meet with the just added blower on the big Olds. Nick adapted the Hilborn port injection to the top of the blower. Nick told me, years later, he did it because there was no money in the budget for a proper injector for the blower. Must have worked. He ran over 150 with it.
