Burkhart, Bramer & Burns. When I snapped this picture at Pomona in '59, they were running Frank Cannon's Blown fuel 392, and direct drive. Just prior to this shot, this '29 became the first high gear only altered, and the first altered to run in the 9's. This car started the whole fuel altered phenomonon.

Long time friend, the late Nick Cirino, built this '30 roadster with sponsor ship from Jim Steele's Durfee Auto Parts. Seen here at the 1960 March Meet with the just added blower on the big Olds. Nick adapted the Hilborn port injection to the top of the blower. Nick told me, years later, he did it because there was no money in the budget for a proper injector for the blower. Must have worked. He ran over 150 with it.

Hello,
Reath Automotive in Long Beach sponsored many cool race cars.  When we first saw this white chopped sedan at Lions in 1958, we thought it was the coolest looking sedan in the pits. (It has gone through many builders/owners) Then when it fired up, whoa...what a sound.  Finally, it made a fabulous accelerating sound when racing.  This chopped sedan won many races and trophies.  Sorry, there was no sound when I filmed this sedan at Lions from 1958-60.  It was one of our favorite drag racing cars. Check out the old Drag News for results.
