I closed out 2017 with 313 of 365 of them including drive time in a 40 Ford, most of them commuting back and forth to work (90 mile round trip)

No telling how many miles were logged, due to a broken odometer in the coupe.

So far, I'm 4 for 4 in 2018.

I finished out 2017 with an additional 5K + miles on the speedo , lots of fun miles with good friends . Looking forward to 2018 and a 3 week road trip back to Speedy Bills Museum in NB . We're leaving after Goodguys Pleasanton and traveling through Nevada , Idaho , Wyoming ( Yellowstone) South Dakota ( Mt Rushmore , Black Hills ) then on to Lincoln NB . Return trip by way of Colorado ( Estes Park , Glenwood Springs , Durango ) New Mexico , Arizona and finally home to SoCal .

Not that many Street Rod days when you live in northern Illinois. Everything is usually garaged from December through April, or longer. I did drive 6800 miles for the year, ending at just over 40k on the odometer.
Hope to see you down the road,
Phil

I know that I drive my '40s a lot.  In fact, if it isn't forecasted for rain showers, or snow, or if I am not having to drive a couple hundred miles for a work trip, you can pretty much bet that I am gonna be in a hot rod.

Just for fun, I started counting days that included some "wheel time" for 2017.

Now...just to qualify "wheel time", for my intents and purposes, I count anything that causes me to leave the house to go somewhere.  It may be to the grocery store, or the Wal Marts (as they say in these parts), or it could be a 100 mile round trip to the office for a work day.
So far, out of the current 67 days of 2017, I have had 55 of those with at least an errand ran in a '40 Ford.  I've had several trips to the office, a day of scouting the route for the SWMO Hot Rod Hundred, and several trips down to my brother-in-law's shop to work on either my junk or his '40 Ford pickup project.

So...there's 298 days left of 2017.  Who's with me to make it a great HOT ROD DRIVING year?

Well it's January 26th and I drove all three of my buckets today weather was warm 60 or so degrees most of the nasty salt was gone so I just had to get a smile on my face and take a ride! Had FUN FUN FUN!  Joe
