Here are some of the '32s that raced.  It is not actually a timed race but rather a driving event re-creating the timed event from the 1950's.  This was purely for fun, not a contest.

And finally, the definition of "traditional".  A good looking woman holding a checkered flag and a chopped coupe driven by a guy with his arm hanging out of the window.  The only thing missing is the tattoos and the Lucky Strikes.

The flag girl, Amy, was the coordinator for the Reliability Run event on Friday, giving us all instructions on what to do.  We thought she was a bundle of energy that day but it was nothing compared to the display that she put on Saturday as the Flag Girl in her bare feet starting the cars by swinging the flag and jumping.  This event and trip was a blast.  Thank you "Hot Rod Hill Climb" and Nick's Hot Rod Garage.

Great coverage, Dave.  This event looks like one to add to the list for the future.  How hard was it to find a place to stay?  That's a really small town, I assume it must be close to a larger area with accommodations.

That sure is great photo coverage and sooooo many Deuces. Thanks for the effort of taking all those pics and posting them. That would be one cool event to attend. Someday maybe I'll make it.

Tom, there are very few rooms available in Georgetown but plenty 20-40 miles away. Apparently lots of people stayed in Central City which has several casinos offering rooms.  We stayed in Silverthorne which was a little further west from Georgetown since my wife worked at Keystone Ski Resort in that area over 35 years ago.  She wanted to see what the area looked like now (way different).  Georgetown is literally just a few blocks off of I 70 so it's easy access to get somewhere else.
