Chrisman Comet

The 1964 Dodge Chargers ran 426 wedges blown on gas with automatics but when Chrisman unleashed his Comet it was blown on fuel and direct drive. The Dodge team was told by the factory not to match race the Comet.
Opinions vary but to me Chrisman's Comet will always be the first funny car.
I know the basement floor is down there because it's holding everything up. I just can't see it anymore.

Lost Bob Chrisman several weeks ago. Bob was the son of Art’s brother Lloyd. Retired police officer that got into drag racing a few years ago. They are having a memorial for him July 22 at NHRA Museum.
